Latham Names Shepherd Managing Partner
LOS ANGELES - Finance and real estate lawyer Bruce Shepherd has taken over the reins of Latham & Watkins' San Diego office as its new managing partner. Shepherd replaces Donald P. Newell, who led the office for 15 years and plans to retire from the firm at the end of this month. Under Newell's management, Los Angeles-based Latham increased its presence in San Diego from 20 to 88 lawyers.
