Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. has gone public in a $50 million offering. The Sunnyvale company designs, manufactures and markets a broad range of fiber-optic components and modular solutions designed to increase the bandwidth and flexibility of optical networks. Alliance's customers include communications equipment manufacturers Ortronics Inc. and Alcatal, which use its fiber-optic equipment for metropolitan networks.
