Appellate Court OKs Woman Getting Life
An appellate court has affirmed a life sentence without possibility of parole for a woman who murdered her lover's wife. A jury convicted Diana Haun on Sept. 26, 1997, of first-degree murder for financial gain for kidnapping, stabbing and bludgeoning 35-year-old Sherri Dally, her lover's wife. In an unpublished opinion, the 2nd District Court of Appeal affirmed the conviction and sentence. People v. Haun , B118146 (Cal. App. 2nd. Dist. Nov. 28, 2000).
