Bringing Rivals Together Requires Soft Touch

Two Silicon Valley titans recently set aside their hometown rivalry and joined forces to close a multi-million dollar deal. Corporate and securities partner Martin Korman and his group of lawyers from Palo Alto's Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati assisted Fenwick & West, also of Palo Alto, with a merger between two Internet companies. When the $761 million stock transaction is finalized, Homestore.com Inc. will own Cendant Corp.'s Move.com Group.
