Governor signs Amazon tax bill

The legislative back-and-forth over whether Amazon and other Internet retailers would be forced to collect sales tax on California purchases ended with Gov. Jerry Brown signing a bill Friday to give Amazon a 1-year reprieve from the tax.

The legislative back-and-forth over whether Amazon and other Internet retailers would be forced to collect sales tax on California purchases ended with Gov. Jerry Brown signing a bill Friday to give Amazon a 1-year reprieve from the tax.
