Eastern District judge plans to take senior status

U.S. District Judge Garland E. Burrell Jr.'s plans to take senior status next year will open up a seat on the Eastern District branch.

LOS ANGELES - The office of Sen. Dianne Feinstein has begun the process of finding a replacement for U.S. District Judge Garland E. Burrell Jr., who plans to lighten his caseload next year.
