Misguided discounting of Brown's high court nominee

I've been taken aback by attempts to publicly discount or distort Leondra Kruger's professional reputation and paint her as not qualified simply because she has not "worked her way up in the branch."

The judicial branch puts a great deal of effort into be treated as a separate and equal branch of government. It should be, for the integrity of the system and to safeguard the rights of all citizens. In fact, judges and lawyers routinely buttonhole legislators like me to make this case when asking for more money for the judicial branch.
