Judge's decision closes book on federal activity in major corruption case

Defense lawyers in one of the state's biggest public corruption cases are celebrating a federal judge's recent decision that effectively closes the book on all federal activity related to the matter.


U.S. District Judge S. James Otero issued an order last week denying Upland developer Jeffrey Burum's motion seeking the return of property seized in a 2011 federal search.
