Merger joins two East Bay firms with long histories

The combination brings together Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP, which was founded in 1918, and Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP, which launched in 1883.

Two Bay Area law firms on Wednesday announced their plans to merge. The deal will combine 32-attorney Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP and Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP, which has 30 lawyers.


Effective May 1, the resulting firm will be called Donahue Fitzgerald LLP and will feature commercial, labor and employment, intellectual property, trust and estates, litigation, tax and franchise, nonprofit ...
