U.S. IPO market opens with most activity since 2000

The U.S. market for initial public offerings so far this year was more active than any opening quarter since 2000, according to data from IPO tracker Renaissance Capital LLC released this week.

PALO ALTO - The U.S. market for initial public offerings this year has so far been more active than any first quarter since 2000, according to data from IPO tracker Renaissance Capital LLC.


Sixty-four companies raised a total of $10.6 billion in the first quarter of 2014, Renaissance reported, more than doubling the number of offerings from the same period a year ago.
