OC firm walks for heart health

The Newport Beach office of Newmeyer & Dillion LLP joined the Orange County community to help raise funds to fight heart disease at the 33rd annual Orange County Heart and Stroke Walk, held March 8 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. The American Heart Association walking event promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living while at the same time celebrating heart disease and stroke survivors. "Our support for the American Heart Association began last year, as our firm volunteered their time to fundraise on behalf of Newmeyer & Dillion and participated in the Orange County Heart and Stroke Walk" Jeffrey M. Dennis, managing partner of the firm, said in a statement. "It's a true honor to support the AHA and its fights against heart disease and stroke." Newmeyer & Dillon brought 175 walkers to the event and to date has raised $23,855, the largest amount by a law firm. — Ben Adlin
