Today the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary consists of a Hispanic (Ted Cruz, R-TX), an Asian-Pacific Islander (Mazie Hirano, D-HI), and three women, including Hirano.
But in October 1991, the Judiciary Committee consisted of all white men when Anita Hill testified during the confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
