The San Diego County Superior Court is warning the public to be on guard against fraudsters pretending to be officials or police and threatening fines or arrest warrants.

In one recent example, an alleged police officer phoned a man to demand $758 via money order as fine and penalty for missing jury duty. In another, someone claiming to be from the warrant desk of the superior court in Oceanside - where there is no court...
