Football helmet maker defeats product liability trial

After just 20 minutes of deliberation Thursday, a Los Angeles jury unanimously delivered a defense verdict in favor of Riddell Sports.

After just 20 minutes of deliberation Thursday, a Los Angeles jury unanimously delivered a defense verdict in favor of the football helmet maker Riddell Sports. The four-week product liability trial centered on claims that the front padding in a Revolution helmet was defective and led to severe brain damage in the plaintiff, a high school football player who was 17 years old at the time of the injury.
