As Rumors Swirl, Lerach Says He May Retire From His Firm
LOS ANGELES - Marquee trial lawyer William S. Lerach confirmed Friday he may retire from the plaintiffs' firm he founded in 2004, amid rumors that he may either be indicted or work out a plea deal stemming from a criminal investigation that has resulted in charges against his former law firm and partners at Milberg, Weiss & Bershad.
