Chastened State Bar Meets With A Less Contentious Conference

For the most part, the State Bar annual meeting, which begins today in Long Beach, will be much like the annual meetings of the past. There will be luncheons and speeches and parties and politicians. There will be scores of continuing legal education courses that the hundreds of lawyers on hand can attend. Dozens of awards will be handed out, and even more honorable people will be honored.
