Mistrial Declared in Calderon Civil Trial

Just hours before former Sen. Charles Calderon was expected to take the witness stand Tuesday in the $83,000 breach of contract lawsuit brought by his one-time campaign fund-raiser, the judge declared a mistrial because all the defendants filed for bankruptcy protection.
