Appellate Court Gives Torrance $1.7M in Fees
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Monday approved an award of more than $1.7 million in attorney's fees for the city of Torrance, which had sought the fees for its successful legal battle with the U.S. Justice Department over allegations of discriminatory hiring in the city's police and fire departments.
