Top Rainmaker Mendelson Exiting Cooley for Latham

Corporate and securities lawyer Alan C. Mendelson, a $10 million rainmaker and one of the founding partners of Cooley Godward in Palo Alto, is defecting after 27 years at the firm. Effective June 1, he'll join Los Angeles-based Latham & Watkins' Menlo Park office as a partner.
