Judge Kakita Retires May 8

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Edward Y. Kakita's last day on the bench will be May 8, his 60th birthday. Kakita is retiring after a 20-year career that has taken him from juvenile and criminal matters to the appellate division of the civil court.
