Supreme Court Decides to Weigh In on Judicial Elections Case

The U.S. Supreme Court decided Friday to intervene in a dispute centering on the sensitive issue of political donations in state judicial elections.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court decided Friday to intervene in a dispute centering on the sensitive issue of political donations in state judicial elections.

The case has already attracted the attention of Justice Stephen Breyer and retired Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who both spoke in public last month about the negative impact of campaign contributions in state judicial elections.
