Hon. James N. Reese, a longtime JAMS neutral and retired Superior Court judge, died Oct. 31. He was 96 years old.
Reese was born in Depression-era New Orleans and as a young man was drafted to the United States Army during World War II. He served as one of few African-American officers during the war, and through the GI Bill put himself through the USC Gould School of Law.
