A significant number of ADR professionals become a neutral late in their career, but mediator and arbitrator Jeffrey Benz, unhappy with the neutrals he worked with as an attorney, became a full-time arbitrator in 2001 at the relatively young age of 31.
"I'm hoping I finally grow some gray hair," Benz said. "I've had to build a reputation based on my acumen as opposed to my prior status."
