The State Bar, long criticized in some quarters for its secrecy, is preparing to be much more transparent about its operations and its leaders' deliberations in the new year.
The Board of Trustees' Executive Committee gave its backing Tuesday to a repeal of the State Bar's open meeting rules. Instead, the bar plans to comply with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act for state boards.
