Setback for plaintiff in Riverside County lawsuit

A federal judge released a decision Monday overturning a magistrate judge's ruling in a lawsuit against Riverside County over the removals of children from their parents without a warrant.

A federal judge denied plaintiffs' attorneys' efforts to obtain records detailing children being removed from their parents without warrants in a lawsuit against Riverside County.

The decision overturns a magistrate judge's ruling that attorneys could access the files - spanning a 20-year period - from the county's juvenile court system in an electronic database.
