San Diego lawyer sentenced to five months in prison for defrauding clients

Personal injury attorney Todd Macaluso was sentenced to five months in federal prison Monday for engaging in a scheme to defraud clients and investors.

San Diego personal injury attorney Todd Macaluso was sentenced to five months in federal prison Monday for engaging in a scheme to defraud clients and investors.

Macaluso, who pleaded guilty this spring, admitted that he entered into funding agreements with investors who advanced him money in exchange for receiving a portion of attorney fees from resolution of his clients' cases.
