San Diego lawyer agrees to be disbarred

Ernest George Georggin allowed nonlawyers to operate an apparently fraudulent credit-repair business in his name, according to a stipulation with State Bar prosecutors.

San Diego lawyer Ernest George Georggin has agreed to be disbarred for allowing nonlawyers to operate an apparently fraudulent credit-repair business in his name.


Georggin, 68, who has no previous record of discipline from nearly 40 years in practice, also must repay $90,061 plus interest in restitution to 25 former clients, according to the State Bar.
