Answering to a Higher Authority

Forum Column - By Bill Lockyer - Deputy Attorney General Joel Davis' recent column entitled "Improper Fidelities: Attorney General's About-Face in Disability Act Case Was Sad for Legal Ethics" (Forum, June 9) accused me of improper fidelities in handling Hason v. Medical Board of California , a proceeding presenting the question of whether the 11th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution precludes a private suit against the state Medical Board under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
