Justices' Decision Limits Reach of Trademark Law
WASHINGTON - Restricting the reach of federal trademark law, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that the Lanham Act does not bar a company from reproducing a creative work that no longer is copyrighted and selling its own version without crediting the work's creator.
