Child Advocates, Officials Report Landmark Pact
LOS ANGELES - Children's advocates joined with Los Angeles County officials Thursday to announce what they described as a landmark settlement marking a new approach to providing care and counseling to mentally ill and abused kids, including many formerly warehoused at the county's infamous MacLaren Children's Center.
