Ousted Judge Loses His Appeal

SAN FRANCISCO - San Joaquin Superior Court Judge Michael E. Platt, who was removed from the bench last August for fixing tickets and interceding in cases for friends, lost his bid for an appeal Wednesday as the state Supreme Court unanimously declined to review his case.
