Jury Clears Police in Shooting Death

SAN DIEGO - A federal jury decided Tuesday that police actions were justified in the 1999 shooting death of Demetrius DuBose, ending a civil suit that had reawakened racial passions originally inflamed by the death of the one-time All-American Notre Dame linebacker.
