Time Gap Puts Decisions to Protect Ocean at Risk

Forum Column - By John J. Lormon - Absent a saving hand being extended by the state Supreme Court, the legal authority of the California Coastal Commission to execute the Coastal Act is void. That is what the 3rd District Court of Appeal held Dec. 30 in Marine Forests Society v. California Coastal Commission , 104 Cal.App.4th 1232 (Cal. App. 3rd Dec. 30, 2002).
