Gadfly Sentenced For Flier Handout WESTMINSTER - John Merzweiler, the Huntington Beach political gadfly who was prosecuted last year for distributing fliers bearing directions to the home of the city's police chief, was sentenced Friday to 16 days in Orange County jail, three years of probation, 15 days of community service and ordered to pay $100 in state restitution. Merzweiler won't serve any jail time due to credit for time already served.
