Sound expansion
By William H. Curtis The Orange County economy continued to gain momentum and has recorded another six months of sound expansion through the first half of 2000. Twelve-month job growth through February 2000 was 42,700. This 3.2 percent job growth rate is on pace with that of the previous 12-month period. When coupled with the county's record low unemployment rate of 2.3 percent, sound expansion is the appropriate adjective to describe the economy.
