Palmdale launches election appeal

Palmdale attorneys have asked a California appellate court to overturn a Los Angeles County Superior Court injunction and allow its Nov. 5 election results to stand.

Two weeks after residents cast ballots for mayor and city council members, Palmdale is asking an appeals court to overturn an injunction by a lower court barring the certification of its election results, reigniting a bitter battle over its at-large voting system.
