Occidental Petroleum GC heads to Texas

John C. Ale will return to the Lone Star State to head the legal department of Southwestern Energy Co., the Houston natural gas and oil company announced Tuesday.

Former general counsel for Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum Corp., John C. Ale, will return to Texas to head the legal department of Southwestern Energy Co., the Houston natural gas and oil company announced Tuesday.

Ale, also named senior vice president and corporate secretary at Southwestern, replaced general counsel Mark K. Boling on Nov. 11. Boling will remain with the company as a division president.
