Sabrina Venskus had no intention of becoming a lawyer or an activist when she moved to Playa del Rey in 1993. Now, the Santa Monica-based public-interest attorney has won an injunction in her hard-fought case challenging the environmental review approved by the Los Angeles City Council for the second phase of Playa Vista.
