Bell plans to sue accounting firm over city audits

A lawyer for the city of Bell says it plans to take legal action against an outside accounting firm for failing to catch financial mismanagement that has rocked the troubled municipality.

A lawyer for the city of Bell says the municipality plans to take legal action against an outside accounting firm for failing to catch financial mismanagement that has rocked the troubled city.


The development follows the news that formal disciplinary sanctions were leveled against the accounting firm of Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. by the state's Board of Accountancy on Friday.
