High fructose corn syrup trial ends with undisclosed settlement

A settlement agreement ends the years-long spat between the sugar and corn industries

LOS ANGELES -- The false advertising battle between the sugar industry and makers of high fructose corn syrup came to a cordial end Friday with an announcement of a settlement on undisclosed terms.
