Aereo, FilmOn settle disputes over names

TV-on-the-Internet startup Aereo Inc. and FilmOn.com Inc. announced late Monday that they have settled their contentious lawsuits.

TV-on-the-Internet startup Aereo Inc. and FilmOn.com Inc. announced late Monday that they have settled their contentious lawsuits on "mutually acceptable terms."


FilmOn filed suit against Aereo in Los Angeles federal court in February, alleging that the company name, Aereo, too closely resembled WinTV-Aero-m antennas, which FilmOn markets and sells under a private label arrangement from Hauppauge Computer Works...
