Governor's budget offers no reprieve to courts, eases burden on county jails

Governor Jerry Brown's revised 2013-14 budget proposal disappointed judicial branch leadership by not offering any increased funding to courts.

SACRAMENTO - Having hoped for an increased share of the state's general fund, the state's courts were disappointed to learn Tuesday that Gov. Jerry Brown's revised budget proposal left the judicial branch with the same level of funding as his January proposal.
