Justices: Ignorance of Shaken-Baby Syndrome Is Not a Defense Abusing Father Can Claim
SAN FRANCISCO - Settling an issue that troubled an appeal court, the California Supreme Court ruled Monday that a defendant does not need to know that shaking an infant is dangerous to its health in order to be convicted of felony child abuse.
