Ex-Defender Gets Year in Jail for Sex With Girl

Noting the defendant's job as a Los Angeles County deputy public defender must have made him aware having sex with an underage girl was illegal, a judge Friday sentenced Chance X. Oberstein to a year in county jail as a condition of placing him on probation.
