Court Finds State's Hazardous Waste Fees Invalid
SAN FRANCISCO - The state Supreme Court ruled Monday that the state's method of charging companies to support hazardous waste programs was invalid. However, the court - finding that the system is of "critical importance" to the state - left the fee arrangement in place while officials work to fix the problem.
