L.A. Judge Nominated for U.S. District Court
WASHINGTON - President Bush nominated Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Philip S. Gutierrez to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the White House announced Monday. Gutierrez, 47, is slated to replace Judge Terry J. Hatter, who has retired.
