'Operation Safe Streets' Article Is Misleading
Letter to the Editor - Your article "Police Frown on S.F. DA's Drug Arrest Plan" (April 7 San Francisco Daily Journal) fails to offer a balanced and factual analysis of our pilot project, Operation Safe Streets.
Your article implies that our proposed initiative addresses all hand-to-hand transactions. That is misleading. It is irresponsible to suggest that our office is proposing the release of dealers who are arrested after selling drugs to a police officer. Ra...
