L.A. Judge Erred in Penalizing Defendant for Lawyer's Actions
A Los Angeles judge was wrong to punish a civil fraud defendant with a $1.3 million default judgment just because his attorney got into a fight with the other side during a deposition, a state appellate panel ruled Thursday.
