Jury Awards Santa Monica Bus Accident Victim $2.6 Million
LOS ANGELES - Haroun Mehdipour, 79, left his Santa Monica apartment on a spring morning in 2004 to catch the bus to the senior center. His wife, Parvin, and grown daughter, Nanaz Hekmatravan, were driving to Orange County for the day. Mehdipour's usual morning routine was to first take the bus to the Persian market for a newspaper.
