Debate Heats Up Over French Fry Warnings

A Los Angeles judge signaled Tuesday that he would move french fries to the front burner in his court. Superior Court Judge Wendell Mortimer Jr. told lawyers he wants long-stalled litigation forcing fast-food giants to warn consumers of a potential cancer risk posed by their products, including fries and potato chips, to start moving ahead.
